Charler River @ Lunch Time

Finally, after the long busy season I had a work in the past month I am able to get out and do my run at lunch time. It feels so much better to run outside with daylight. I was expecting the charles river to be a mess specially after the snow storm we had over the weekend but to my surprise it was a lot better than I expected, some areas better than other. I love seeing the expression on peoples faces went they see me coming out of the office or in the elevator with my tights, hat and gloves on. They probably think I am crazy. I felt good today after yesterday workout. Only my left calf felt really tight today at the beginning or my run but it loosen up as I went along.

Workout at Reggie Lewis Center - ~10 miles

Warm up: ~23 minutes
Workout: 3 x (400,400,800) at 74 - 75 pace with 90 secs rest after 400s and 2:30 between set
Cooldown: ~24 minutes

Today I run my first Indoor Track workout since March 2008. According to Kevin the purpose of the workout was to start getting use to run in the track. For today's workout I was in the company of Jenn Donovan. She has been my workout partner all trought the cross season and we probably gonna be working out a couple of times in the track. The plan today was to run 74s for the 400s and 75s for the 800s. We were a bit faster than that. 1st set was 400 (74) 400 (73) 800(2:28). 2nd set was 400(74) 400(72) 800(2:26) and third Set was 400(72), 400(71), 800 (2:26). Overall I felt good. My left calf felt a bit tight during the cooldown but its getting better now.
